Default Antivirus pop up

Hi folks .
I have a question for all you experts . I have windows XP home edition SP2
.. I try to keep it updated with all necessary updates and I have Anti Virus
protection From My ISP . Lately I have found while surfing some web sites I
will get a pop up that looks like an EXE program and says my computer may be
infected with a virus . The latest one today looked like a Microsoft warning
with the little colored security logo on the top and it started scanning
..It said it found a Trojan If I try to cancel ,close or exit it does not
seem to want to cancel or close . I need to do CTRL,Alt,DEl end task to get
it to stop and end . How would I know if it were really from Microsoft ??? I
usually do a virus scan to see If I have any viruses but It says nothing
found

Your PC is infected with spyware / malaware, which is not the same or
detected by anti virus apps.
You say you have AV from your ISP, but is this installed on your PC or is it
only AV on your mail?

Download update & run all of these;
MS Defender (from MS)
SpyBot
Adaware
All are free

These so-called "service" anti-virus security softwares are in my
opinion bogus! The is no software that can protect you 100%. You
still should install and run the mentioned spyware removal tools since
spywares/malwars are not in the same category as viruses and those
security system may not protect you from these.

Better safe than sorry!

You do have anti-spyware protection but usually only when their
controlling server is working correctly and your DSL service is work.
I'm on Bell in Quebec (similar to your ISP) and last year the DSL
service was completely out for 12 hours. During this outage, any
spyware / virus infected emails had the potential of infecting the PC.

Not every anti-spyware software will detect every piece of spyware
that is "floating" over the Internet. Part of a good anti-spyware
plan is to get, maintain and use a few different anti-spyware software
in order to try to "average out" the removals.

According to Aliant its an anti virus application, not spyware, the other

As previously stated your PC is infected with malaware / trojans

The anti spyware application should not be immaterial since you need to pay
additional for the coverage
All are billed separately see info at link

| These so-called "service" anti-virus security softwares are in my
| opinion bogus! The is no software that can protect you 100%. You
| still should install and run the mentioned spyware removal tools since
| spywares/malwars are not in the same category as viruses and those
| security system may not protect you from these.

Default Antivirus pop up

Let me spell it out for you. YOU ARE INFECTED! Your paid
antivirus/antimalware software did not catch what you caught. Take the
advice people are giving you and use it to clean your system, it's all free.
Also use my free Remove-it software, it will remove that malware from your
system. Download it here http://pcbutts1.com/downloads/tools/tools.htm

The anti spyware application should not be immaterial since you need to
pay
additional for the coverage
All are billed separately see info at link

Do you really want to trust someone that was banned from posting
directly to Microsoft Usenet servers, someone that has posted links to
pornographic materials on HIS WEBSITE, who's website is in the MVP HOST
Block list?

Check my sign for links to who butts really is
