Default Why they don't use recipies app in restaurant?

I was watching new windows 8.1 recipies app video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JIFuT-sGeI, thought we could implement this
app on restaurant to order food and drinks. This way they could manage
stocks, client orders, shops, payments, etc., all in one single application.
That's no business revolution but could help. Better than staying at home
watching pizzas.

Not everyone has a "smart" phone nor want to buy one.

I meant tablets on restaurants tables instead of menu cards.

That video made me feel too hungry to continue watching, after about 10
seconds.

I once saw an iPad used for a restaurant's menu in Athens. It was
outside under the awning, on top of an ornate pillar about 5 feet high.

I can't remember where, but I remember being given an iPad to look at
while seated at a table in a restaurant. It was for the wine list
though, not the menu.

*Maybe* it was at a Fleming's steak house, but I'm not sure.

At JFK airport near NYC, one of the restaurants puts an iPad on every table
so customers can order food and drinks, and they can check news, flight
status, and play games while they wait. JFK is the only place where I've
ever used an iPad. My own tablet is an Android.

That sounds familiar. Maybe that's what I was thinking of.

And there's a small local restaurant here that presents their bill on
an iPad. No iPad menu; they give me the iPad just to add a tip and
sign it.

& NO hardcopy?? doesn't help with tax time for proof of taxes paid or
proof of "business" expenses.

They e-mail a hard copy. But for me, it doesn't matter. it's not a
business expense and I don't need a hard copy.

And if I were in business, this is not a place where I would take a
customer. The food is decent but the place is very plain--inexpensive
and nothing fancy.

How do you email a hard copy?
I thought a hard copy was on paper

I'm sure you can get a lot of menus printed for the price of a tablet and a
paper menu does the job quite well.
