Default Where are the chip cards ?

I thought a law was passed requiring chip cards by 2015.
If it was, it is not being enforced.

One of my banks has not gone to a chip card.

As a result, I had to cancel the card because of an unauthorized attempt to charge $213.

I will be telling them that I will close my accts. if they do not give me a chip card.

Retailers are even worse.

Less than 50% have gone to a chip system.

All of my cards are chipped these days and about 70-80% of the places
I go are "insert card". It just seems to be the mom and pop places
that still swipe. Maybe SW Fla is just more fraud conscientious.
I also understand my biggest exposure is giving my card to a server in
a restaurant and that may be the least feared.
The reality is the CC company will be eating the fraud charges so it
is up to them to fix their hardware problems.

Click on Start | Accesories | System Tools. If it's included with
Windows XP you will find it there.

You will find a good discussion about that very issue in the thread
titled, "OT: Why does my toilet paper feel more sandpapery than it used
to?"
