Default processor speed

Buy a new processor.
Most likely your motherboard is what supports up to 2400
Mhz. Your processor is rated at 1700. There is a
technique called overclocking that allows you to run your
processor higher than the rated speed. However, if you
don't know exactly what you're doing, it is very easy to
destroy your processor doing this.

If you're really interested in it, searching
for "beginner overclocking" on a search engine will give
you lots of hits, just remember to know what you're doing
before trying.
