Default file sharing (NTFS) with MAC permissions problem

I am sharing a Windows XP SP2 (Home) folder with a Mac system. Initially, I
could connect, but nothing would show in the finder window. I figured it
must be a permissions problem on Windows. I set the permissions on the
folder to Everyone - full control. That fixed my access problem (I can
read/write) to the folder. It's not that critical, but how/what to I set
permissions to other than Everyone to access from my Mac?
