Cannot stop Windows Messenger from automatically logging in!
-----Original Message----- I have the same problem and do not want the Windows XP spyware telling Bill Gates how I use my computer. I've tried the Dell Knowledge Base and the information in Document 1062001 is useless. I even tried deleting the Messenger folder but XP just went online and restored it the next time I booted up. Can anyone provide a solution? Bill Morgan Kansas City -----Original Message----- Every time I load Outlook Express, Windows Messenger automatically loads and tries to sign in. I have gone to "Tools", then "Options" and unchecked the box that says "Automatically log on to Windows Messenger", but that has had no effect at all. Messenger still tries to sign in every time. In Messenger, I've unchecked the boxes that say "Run this program when Windows starts." and "Allow this program to run in the background." Can somebody solve this one? Thanks. . . go here http://forums.betarun.net/showthread.php?tid=18 Messenger may be reinstalled by windows or office update and service packs. |
