Multimedia Audio Controller
It is looking for drivers for your sound card. Find out
the make/manufacturer of the sound card and download the appropriate drivers from there web site. It may be an onboard sound card as well. You may have to go to the motherboard manufactureres website for drivers. If it is a brand name machine such as a compaq or a dell go to there website for drivers. Bottom line, you need drivers. good luck... -----Original Message----- At start-up, the hardware install wizard activates to install "Multimedia Audio Controller". I'm not sure why it's not installed; I may have accidentally deleted it when cleaning up my hard drive. I think this is why none of my multimedia applications like Windows Media Player can open audio files. I tried using the wizard, but it can't locate the file it needs. I tried looking for the file on the Microsoft website, but I can't find it, anywhere. Please help. I've done alot of work tonight, and I don't want to have to resort to the system restore application. Thanks! . |
