I would like to save some MSN display pictures of my friends. Please tell me
if there is any possibilities.

You can press the print screen button in your keyboard, then open PAINT and
PASTE the screen image there, and CROP to include only the other persons
image.
There is no other way to get the picture if you dont ask them for it.

Besides using Kenny's method, the display pictures are actually stored in the Internet
Explorer cache. As such, you can retrieve them from there (not very easily) or simply use
something like the DP/CE Stealer application:
