Default Slow Print Dialog

Hey. Lately when I try to print something from just about any program, it
takes about a minute for the print dialog box to show up. Since it's in a
lot of programs I'm assuming this to be a windows problem. I've had Windows
XP Pro for a while and this is the first major problem that's cropped up. I
can't think of any changes I made to my system that would cause this.
Additionally, I have disabled auto printer-find over the network, but this
hasn't helped. Has anyone see this problem before? Thanks for your help.

it this a local printer or one that is attached to another computer or print
server device? If local, not sure; if connection is a firewall enabled?
