How do I Disable Auto Login

As soon as I log onto the Internet, people on my MSN
messenger buddy list know im online. I do not even log
onto MSN. It seems that I have some "auto-login"
clicked
somewhere. Can you please tell me the A,B,C's of
getting
1- onto windows messenger and 2- fixing this problem. I
do NOT want people to know when Im online unless I click
onto my MSN Messenger.
