Default Need dll help

Something has happened to my winupd.dll file. I keep getting messages with
the loud "Boom" window that this file cannot be found. I recently had the
Bloodhound virus and Trojan horse. Those files have been quarantined. How
can I get back my winupd.dll file? I have run "Search" for these files and
found them in a temporary internet folder.

What's next?

Thanks for any tips.

Not a standard Windows file. It probably belonged to the virus/trojan that
infected your system. It was taken out of the loop (quarantined). Now when
a call to run that file occurs, you get a message about a "file not found."
What you need to track down is not a new copy of the file but where the
call to run the file is originating from.

If you look up the virus that your antivirus program identified, you will
find a "more info" type of document about the virus and the changes it made
to the computer. It should also tell you how to manually reverse the
changes that the antivirus program cannot do for you.

Thanks, Sharon. That makes a lot of sense. I will check the report to see
if I can find any more info on it. I am getting the boom a lot when I open
the internet or backup files.
