Looking for a cross platform epub reader
I find myself switching back and forth between my ASUS Zen S 8 tablet
running 6.1 and my Windows 10 desktop. It is usually somewhat of a pain to pick up the thread of the story when I switch back and forth. Do any of you know of a decent epub reader that has both Android and Windows versions and the ability to sync between the two? TIA |

However it does state "...the most optimum format across PC, MAC, tablets or mobile devices." on the link in the Overview. -- Bob S. |

And if I had scrolled down I would have seen the icon for Android App on Google play.... and one for the Apple App Store. Time to turn off the lights.... -- Bob S. |

TIA Although I've not much used any eBooks, apparently you can upload them to Google Play Books (https://play.google.com/books) and read them there from any computer with a web browser. OneDrive supports ePub; see https://support.office.com/en-us/art...e-26e37419c5e4. Presumably you have a web browser on each of your computers. Adobe Digital Editions, their eBook reader, doesn't list Android at https://www.adobe.com/solutions/eboo.../download.html. Yet there is an Android app listed for Adobe's Digital editions over at https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...igitaleditions. calibre runs on several OS platforms listed on their download page at https://calibre-ebook.com/download. That's the one I downloaded on my Windows computer when I got stuck with an ePub doc that didn't have a PDF version (and I wasn't going to bother converting ePub to PDF although there are free local programs and online converters). As you your last requirement of "sync between the two", I don't see that happening with a local program that only knows what you've done on that computer. That's why I mentioned Google Docs and OneDrive since you aren't using a local program but instead a cloud-based service. However, I don't know if the online doc services qualify as a "decent epub reader" since I haven't used them (and rarely have used calibre as a local ePub reader since I rarely get nuisanced with ePub docs). |

You could put the Calibre libray on Google Drive and share it on Android. It means though that you have to download the book on your phone to read it, since Google Drive is only visable not usable, but you can access it. Al |
