Default Hard Drive Partitions

I have a Sony VAIO PCV-RX850 computer with a 80Gig hard drive. It came
partitioned with 16 Gig as the main partition with the rest allocatted to
the D: drive. I don't understand partions much, and tried everything i know
to make the main c: partition larger, but can't figure out how to do so! Can
any one help me! Ray

Default Hard Drive Partitions

You can not change the C partition with Windows native tools and preserve
data.
you need a 3rd party program:

http://www.symantec.com/partitionmagic/
