I've lost the run command
Hi,
Right-click the taskbar, select properties. On the Start Menu tab, click customize, you can add the run prompt on the advanced tab. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "kristie" wrote in message ... Right click the Start Button, take Properties. Click Customise and on the Advanced page look in the panel for "Run Command", check it and OK out, clicking Apply wherever it is not greyed out -- Alex Nichol MS MVP (Windows Technologies) Bournemouth, U.K. (remove the D8 bit) |

In addition, added info:
Is the Run Command checked off he Right click the Start Button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Run Command If this is not the case: This can happen from having too many items listed on the Start Menu. The run command is the first to go. If this is not the case, nor that Run isn't chosen under Customize: Restore the Run Command (Line 57) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right clicking on the file and selecting Edit. -- All the Best, Kelly Microsoft-MVP Windows® XP-Shell/User 2004 Windows MVP "Winny" Award Troubleshooting Windows XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com "Alex Nichol" wrote in message ... kristie wrote: have a new laptop and it's running WinXP Home, the run command is not in the start up menu anywhere, I haven't been able to find anything about it on the knowledge base can any one offer any help with this?
