Default Runtime Error

unable to open my saved word documents
Runtime Error appears each time I attempt to open word documents, computer
is running very slow and will not shut down not showing any virus issues.

Program:C: \PROGRA~1\micros~4\Office10\winword.exe

microsoft.public.word.docmanagement (using a news reader) or
http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...&lang=en&cr=US

Include:
Text of the "runtime error" message
What you have done to convince yourself that you are "not showing any
virus issues" (i.e., what a/v application and is it up-to-date).
What you have done to determine that your system does not have non-virus
malware (i.e., what antimalware application and is it up-to-date).

Find normal.dot and rename it to normal.old. Open Word right after

Default Runtime Error

many thanks for the time to respond. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library was
the error. I went through a long process to start word first by using the
support.dot template following all 5 steps, 1st typing in the name of the
program /a switch atleast gave me a chance to keep from getting kicked out
of word. Working fine now
My a/v is McAfee total protect 2010 updated on 4-18. I agree with you and
feel the computer has a trogan, due to the slowness and will not tun off.
Since I don't have the password or ID for this computer that was given to
me...need to add a new post :-)
