You *could* stream audio over Bluetooth on Windows XP and ever since, i.e. also on Windows 7. It only needed the proper driver, profiles, etc., but those were (and are) supplied with/for the Bluetooth adapter (probably a USB 'dongle' on XP). I have an Acer One Aspire running Windows 7. Please tell me how you did it. |

So if the standard Microsoft supplied drivers/software does not work, then determine (if needed with Device Manager) which adapter/ dongle you have and then go the website of the manufacturer. FWIW, for Vista (i.e. earlier than 7) the standard Microsoft supplied drivers/software *did* work for *my* dongle (TRUST 18187 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) chipset). YMMV/YMWV. |
