Delete Shared Documents Folder
I wish to delete the Shared Documents Folder. This involves the deletion of a
registry key (tricky operation) and therefore request confirmation of correct proceedure. The key to delete is found in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\DelegateF olders Details of key: {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee} When double clicking the key the following message appears: "Are you sure you want to delete this key and all of its subkeys?" YES/NO. Kindly please advise if it's okay to click YES to delete the Shared Documents folder in a safe manner for good. Also, would it be be beneficial to set a System Restore Point just in case.....? Thank you in advance for assistance. System Information:- Platform: OS Microsoft Win32 XPPro Version 5.12600 SP2 Build 2600 Processor: x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2400Mhz, Pentium4 MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00, Total Physival Memory 512MB Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and Hotfix (KB886903) XP Hotfixes and Security Updates are current (automatically downloaded/installed) |
