nic stopped working after MS updates
Hello,
My NIC stopped working after downloading the updates from the microsoft's update web site. The nic was working just find until one of the updates install a file on the hard drive that tell the NIC to stop working. The NIC card icon by the clock even says the network cable is unpulged, but it is not. I've had this touble before and could delete the file and the NIC would start working again after a reboot. the file that is created by the download and then deleted by me does not stop any thing else from working just the NIC card. I'm running Windows XP por. Can any one tell me the name of the file to delete,I can not remimber? Thanks

nic stopped working after MS updates
uninstall your NIC driver and then reboot,
XP will install your NIC automatically then,you can download another new version of the driver somewhere!good luck
