Hello folks, i don't know if this is the right group to post this question
but i would use some help here.

In a pc running WinXP SP2 everytime i go to hotmail.com to see emails and
everytime i try to download an video attachment (wmv, avi, mpg) IE tries to
open it there in the left panel of IE and most of the times i can't see the
video, it stays "downloading", sometimes i get to watch.

I checked file types and these files open with Media Player (Media Player 10
installed)...how can i get IE not to open these files but to download them
into my HD (the way it should be) to watch them later???

Thanks in advance,
JR.

Thanks for your quick response.

My Internet connection speed is 3.0 (two 1.5 lines) so, it's pretty fast.

Have you thought about changing to Thunderbird as you email viewing program? It is very good and easy to use.

I don't really know, I think I should have pointed you towards Mozilla Firefox instead as this is the web browser program I use again it is very good and easy to use. I personally prefer it to IE 7.

Thanks and Hello.

Two T1 lines, that's what i meant to say, sorry for not specifying before.

I don't think i need Thunderbird or Outlook, because that computer (which
belongs to a friend) she checks her email through web, believe me, she won't
start using those and i won't teach her either. So, would you please help me
pointing me in the right direction. How can i make video attachments in
hotmail.com (mpg, avi, wmv) not to open in Internet Explorer but in Media
player. File association is ok. And Media Player 10 is installed properly.
