I get the Error Mesage, Drivers for this Device not
installed, {Code 28} Does anyone know what that means? I
am stymied since I have never had such a problem, and it
came up suddenly. Thank you.

It means drivers for your soundcard or onboard sound chip are not installed.
You should download new drivers and install them, but since you don't tell
us which soundcard or onboard chip you are using, I can't point you in the
correct location of the drivers.
