messenger disconnects me from internet.
Greetings,
Two things you can try here. The first is to update the firmware for the modem/router (if there is any updates). The second is to use the latest beta version of Windows Live Messenger, which has been known to cure this problem since the protocol has been significantly changed. You can grab it from http://download.live.com/messenger. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "freezeup" wrote in message ... no error message, just no connection if I open messenger... winxp home fresh install just updated to sr2 got my hardware installed and tried to connect.. have to reset my modem/router turned off firewall, no virus protection yet, just wanted to see if I could connect. version 4.7 or something of messenger..can go game, surf blog but messenger just disconnects my internet... |
