Increasing frame rates
I use Windows media to make video for my pocket PC and
the latest version of movie maker has 2 specific settings to such a thing. The problem is that the two settings offer either a very small picture (about a 2 inch picture on a 4 inch screen) or very choppy (a four inch picture on a 4 inch screen. The problem seems to be in the frame rates. The small picture is a decent frame rate at about 21 frames per second but is tiring on the eyes where the large picture is easy to watch (about 15 frames per second) but its like watching a slide show of pictures, its so bad. Call me greedy :-) but i want the best of both worlds, and Microsoft has locked in most of the settings. Is there a way to change this so I can experiment with frame rates to get a decent picture on my pocket PC. Thanks E.Young |

Increasing frame rates
Download and play with the Windows Media Encoder version 9. It'll let you make most anything you want, along with making your own custom profile for MM2 to use once you achieve your optimum.
