Default After WinXP update lost wireless connections

Jeff,

The same thing has happened to me on two different XP pcs connected to a
Linksys wireless access point via wusb11 devices. It happened at about the
same time for both, but the weird thing is that I don't remember updating XP
and I'm sure I don't have it set for automatic updates.

The problem I am now seeing most often is that the wireless usb adapter is
not recognized at startup - I don't get plug-n-play prompts for new device
either. But sometimes it does work as it should - I can't figure out why. And
sometimes the device is recognized and I am on the network, but I still don't
have internet access.

I've spent hours going over my network/internet setup without improvement.
do you know if a "network bridge" is required? I don't remember seeing that a
year ago when I set up the wireless network, but now XP keeps creating them
for me.
