What happens when you try to open a link? Any errors?

Ginny,

Do you have PPPoE per chance?
http://adsl.cutw.net/mtu.html
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-107
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/794/router_mtu.html

If that's not it, analyse the problem. From a command window:
1) Ping www.hotmail.com.
2) Ping 207.68.171.233.
Report success / exact text of error messages.

From your browser:
3) Browse www.hotmail.com.
4) Browse 207.68.171.233.
Report success / exact text of error messages.

Cheers,
Chuck

Marc,
This is what shows up at the bottom of the page where it usually says "done"
javascript:OpenWin('http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/reader.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_ web&mid=90c3b880-5ed6-43ce-891f-9e2e0e32f860');
Thanks, Ginny
