Default open folder
In Windows 7, when some of my installed applications open their "open
file" window, it defaults to my users\myname folder. In some cases the application allows me to set a different default folder but in those that do not (TrueCrypt for example) they open at the default users\myname folder. I would like to change that default to F:\ (my data partition). Is there a way to do this in Windows 7? Thank you. Jeff |

Jeff I am pretty sure it is dependent on each application and not under Windows's control. Is there anyone out there who knows better? If so, please let us know :-) -- Gene E. That doesn't quite address my question, which was: is it "dependent on each application and not under Windows's control?", which is what my impression is... Many of my apps start in the last place they saw, and many always start in the place they like - which is not always the place I want :-) Some apps always start in their own program directory, which is usually pretty silly, IMO. -- Gene E.
