Hi Matt....from my ill's with computer since I did the
SP2 and all the other folks problems...you are lucky not
to be able to install it. I was on the phone for over one
hour with my problem and MS has a special 1-888 number
for SP2 help. I think they have one big headache on their
hands. Does MS not research and try out this stuff on
normal computers first ?
I say....wait a good 6 months before you try again and by
then it may be a better SP2 patch out there.

From looking at how many posts have been written here concerning fairly
serious problems with SP2, you may want to wait.

Personally, I have had no problems and the IE pop-up blocker is better than
any other pop-up blocker I have used.

Here is my hardware.

ASUS 865 chipset board (maybe P4800SE or something)
3.0GHz P4 at ~3.3GHz
1GB PC400 DDR RAM OCZ (2x512MB)
2 10krpm Quantum U160, 1 15krpm Seagate U160 on Adaptec 29160
1 100GB IDE, 1 80GB IDE
On-board 10/100/1000 NIC
Creative Lab Audigy LS sound card
