network cable unplugged
-----Original Message----- hi this has been annoying me for so long now.. i have an intermittent "network cable unplugged" baloon .. it was workin fine ..and one fine day...it happnd.. i have updated all the drivers.. changed the pci slot..changed the cable even.., the cable is cross over btw .. but doesnt help..also the computer power mgmt. is cleard in the modem properties ..the modem is realtek8139 ..10/10mb ethernet card i am using win xp pro , p4 1.8, 768 ddr ram, yelp!!!!!! . Yes,I am also having this trouble. I even went as far as buying a whole new computer. When I did this, I went about 3 months without this error. Then all of a sudden, it popped up again. I noticed that the 3-com EtherLink XL 10/100 pci tx nic (3c905B-TX) thats installed in my computer was known for having trouble with windows XP Pro, that I have. Microsoft suggested I upgrade to the (3c905C-TXM). So this is what I'm going to get and install. Hope this works for me. Maybe you could look into a new card? Lorraine |

network cable unplugged
are you sure that you are using a proper Cross over cable? if you put a
normal patch cable between to PCs you wouldn't get a connection. -- Sam wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- hi this has been annoying me for so long now.. i have an intermittent "network cable unplugged" baloon .. it was workin fine ..and one fine day...it happnd.. i have updated all the drivers.. changed the pci slot..changed the cable even.., the cable is cross over btw .. but doesnt help..also the computer power mgmt. is cleard in the modem properties ..the modem is realtek8139 ..10/10mb ethernet card i am using win xp pro , p4 1.8, 768 ddr ram, yelp!!!!!! .
