All SOes have problems. Linux' problems are easier to fix.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Just look up the kinds of solutions Linux
users propose for screen tearing in games. Absolutely NONE of them could
have been found by regular users the way Windows fixes can. You always
have to navigate to some unknown folder to edit a file you didn't even
know existed and enter a command which makes no sense to fix an issue
Windows users never experience to begin with.

Long Live Windows.

So? Linux companies come and go. Mandriva was never that big of
a player.

There's a ****load of Linux distributions out there, each of
which seems to cater to every imaginable individual and
feeling a
human can experience. Meanwhile, Linux losers only know one
feeling, anger, as a result of being fat, bearded, stinky and
bitter individuals who have spent their days living in sewers as
a result of only being permitted to come out at night.

Do you really believe that or are you just a special kind of
stupid?

This https://i.imgur.com/Q3cHpp1.png is the guy representing
free
software.

This

is a Linux user.

This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I25UeVXrEHQ is what Linux
users and their representative eat.

Enough said.

Stereotype much?

It's only a stereotype until you meet Linux users and realize that
they look exactly like that.

I've met a lot of Linux users and *none* of them were like that.
Governments use it. Banks use it. You are stuck in a stereotype
that I
guess makes you think you're superior because you use Windows and
besmirch Linux.

I used both. I started with Slackware, moved to Redhat, adopted
openSUSE, discovered Ubuntu, advocated Trisquel and so on. Every
time I
used it, however, I encountered disgusting bugs which soured the
experience for me. In every era, what Linux provided me with was
tremendously inferior to what Windows was offering at the time. In
fact,
I was still willing to transform every one of my computers to Linux
systems as recently as last summer. Nevertheless, I wasn't willing to
tolerate computers that no longer shut down, couldn't wake from sleep
and insisted on screen tearing my games. Additionally, I wasn't
willing
to put up with Linux losers such as yourself calling me a liar because
I was pointing out these _widespread_ issues.

Linux is a pile of poop and no amount of your denial is going to
change
that.

We thank you for your uninformed opinion. It's not a fact. What is a
fact is you're too stupid to run Linux properly.

Just one question. If Linux is so great, why are you posting from
Windows?

It's my business computer and I need Outlook. Outlook is the only
reason I stay with Windows. I am getting access to another computer
soon and posts will be made from Linux Mint.

Outlook for what? Can't you not use TB to send out and receive emails?
Outlook users like me can read emails sent by any mail clients; Never
heard of such ridiculous reason to use Windows!

The fact of the matter is people are using Windows because it is by far
the best OS with most commercial applications available for it. People
aren't wasting their time developing anything for Linux. Linux sucks
when it comes to desktop OS. For servers and websites it is the best
but for general day to day use, windows can't be beaten.

Agreed. It's faster than OS X and a lot more stable than Linux. It is by
far the best OS on the current market.

Don't make statements about how popular the operating system is

statistics, we'll have to believe that the true authorities are

computers.

I have still got to meet somebody who is using Linux for general day to
work and business on a desktop. I have tried very hard but never come
across anybody yet. Wonder who is actually using them? In the UK as
far as I can see. Perhaps in countries like Brazil?

People would love to claim that Cuba is devoted to Linux but that's not
the case. I was there in December last year and their airports use XP,
not Linux. Even the computers in their resorts use Windows despite the
fact that the software is essentially illegal and the country has its
own Linux distribution.

When you can't get a poverty-stricken Communist country which makes the
use of Windows illegal to run Linux, you know the OS is ****.

Would you kindly trim your replies?

Why do you care if he uses Linux or not? Besides, some would say that
Macs beat PCs for everyday use. :-)

The problem is that Macs are ridiculously slow because of their
filesystem, their resource-hungry OS and the fact that absolutely none
of their code is optimized. Apple also makes everything but security a
priority so I'd avoid it.

Especially with the price, hands down.
