Default Chrome Window Spontaneously Resizes?

On my 8.0 touch screen ZenBook, the Google Chrome window spontaneously
resizes to a rather small window. Sometimes I will open it and see it
resize, other times I will click a link and see it resize as the link
loads.

Coincidentally, the new reduced to be a size that exactly allows for the
popup keyboard - although the popup keyboard does not pop up.

It does not happen on my Windows 7 desktop box, so I am thinking maybe
it's something specific to Windows 8.

Am I the only one?

Check add-ons. You could try disabling them all for a test.
