Majhong is still to small to use.

the setting.

The degree to which Mahjong is too small, might
be proportional to the degree of magnification
in the display settings.

It's possible Firefox was affected by adjusting
that too. In the past I've certainly adjusted
that for my eyesight, but for some reason,
on the modern OSes, there is something wrong
with highDPI displays and how these programs
measure the screen.

Just a guess,
Paul

OP The computer was running Windows 8.1 and MS Mahjong before
upgrading and every thing was OK. The zoom in Mahjong was working.

After updating every thing else worked, however the zoom on Mahjong
was not working properly.

All other programs appear to be the correct size.

Well, I was just curious if the degree of scale
error, was proportional to the screen magnification
setting (the DPI thing). Because some other recent
problems were proportional that way.

I saw a thread mentioning some other Mahjong game,
where the author on purpose provided a magnifier
(not the OS provided one).

Paul

Is it possible that a Laptop would have been updated to the tablet
version of Mahjong?

Or is there no difference between the tablet version and the
laptop/desktop version.

It looks identical to what it was before up grading.

OP again.

This gets more interesting. As I said after upgrade the zoom out
button did not work. From Settings icon in Mahjong I went to the
Developer site, which lead me to the MS store, When I open Mahjong from
the windows store the exact opposite problem exist, It is too large to
play and none of the buttons work.

In an article I was just glancing at, it claimed
the "LOL" was no longer as popular as it once was.

So I'll have to give your report a "LOL", just
to balance the books.

I guess you can't make this stuff up.

By the law of averages, it means there
is yet another Mahjong, where the screen
is exactly the right size and all the
controls work :-) We just have to wait
for it to pop out of the woodwork.

Try PySol Fan Club edition, free & written in python. Various
solitaire versions as well as various versions of MahJong.
I just got & installed it; also has sound which can be turned off.

There's a "ton" of other games BUT the game doesn't seem to be
resizable that I found so far. However, on visiability on my 27"
monitor at 2560x1440 isn't a problem & is quite usable for me using
my computer glasses.

Are there any version of Solitaire and Mahjong that will run on Windows

I had downloaded the above games for Windows 8.1, and they were working
fine. However when I upgraded to Windows 10, Mahjong was so small it
was un useable. The zoom in icon did not zoom in. The zoom out zoom
out but it only made the tiles smaller.

With Solitaire it is so tied to the X box, that it is also unusable. It
too is quite small on my laptop screen.

I have tried all of the suggestions in this thread but have not found
games that can be used on Windows 10. With a couple of the downloads,
McAfee took over my computer in its attempts to quarantine all of the
malware and viruses.

XM Solitaire
- http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmsol/

Description

200 card games for Windows (Freecell, Klondike, Fan, Spider, Pyramid, Gaps,
....). Games layout and rules are declared in XML format. User can add his
own cards and background images.

Downloaded, installed & played on Windows 10 last night.

Regards
wasbit

Still looking for good free software for the above games.

Do a search for Win7GamesForWin8-Setup.exe ?

That has Mahjong Titans, the other games from Win7, and installs on Win10.
