Default Synaptics touchpad driver problem

So I upgraded my laptop and the touchpad is not working as it should. I
think the Synaptics driver needs a big time updating. I checked Windows
Update, and it said that I had the latest driver. I checked the
Synaptics site and it's showing drivers only for Win Vista through to
Win 8, but none of them are mentioning Windows 10. I'm sure those
drivers will work in Win 10, but will they work well? It doesn't look
like it.

For one thing, I'm not getting any scrolling behaviour from the driver.
I've changed various options, and none of them seem to do anything in
win 10. I have to click on the scroll bar and click it down. There's no
up-down arrows in Win 10 either for scrolling, is there?

I'm on a Toshiba laptop (E45t) that uses a Synaptics touch pad. My
upgrade to W10 core from 8.1 went OK as far as the touchpad is concerned.
If I recall correctly, shortly after the OS upgrade Windows update
provided me with a touchpad driver update.

I'm currently running a driver provided by Synaptics, signed by
Microsoft, dated 07/21/2015, version number 19.0.16.3. All is working
well.

Don't know if this helps you at all - but that's my story and I'm
stickin' to it. (;
