OT Macrium 7 Problem
I am trying the new Macrium Reflect 7 version. When I select to image
my disk, the subsequent select source drive and image destination window is smaller and too much to the left on my screen. Subsequently, I cannot see some options to change which now are off screen to the left. I can find no way to move or otherwise change the position and/or size of this subwindow. Any suggestions? Thanks PP |

Thanks PP Desktop ? Laptop ? Tablet ? One or two LCD monitors ? PC DESKTOP SINGLE MONITOR pp Was the setup previously two monitors and it's now running with one monitor ? The dialog is trying to center itself in the screen, and if it moves to the left, it probably thinks you're running two screens or something. Paul |

Thanks PP I do not have the problem you described. Running Reflect 7 on a laptop and 2 desktops and screen sizes are the same as for earlier versions. Sorry. Try re-install ? Macrium does remember the screen coordinates of the Details window that pops up with you Disk Imaging request or whatever. https://s14.postimg.org/k7dc0jo8h/remembers.gif A quick check with ProcMon from Sysinternals, suggests this key. At least, the key *name* is suggestive. HKCU\Software\Macrium\reflect\DiskImageBackup\Wind owPlacement There is actually MSDN documentation for WindowPlacement, but it doesn't easily just scream at you "I'm a 44 byte structure". Here is a picture from RegEdit. The info near the end of the data structure is declared as RECT, which could either be XYWH, but appears instead to be X1 Y1 X2 Y2 as near as I can determine by a quick test. The (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2) might be the two corners of the dialog. When I move the entire dialog to the left on the screen, I can see the X1 and X2 values "reduce" by the same amount. So if you wanted to bring it back on screen, that's what you'd play with. No, you can't just zero them :-) You could try making them my values and see if that helps. https://s14.postimg.org/bzbwlzkhd/ma...gistry_key.gif So what we're attempting to do here, is note that Macrium remembers the position of that window, and the only way it's going to come back, is to change that registry value until it does.
