OT where can I find a google custom search engine in use.
OT where can I find a google custom search engine in use.
My favorite google custom search engine switched from google to Bing because of unsavory advertising which had begun to be shown by google. I know things are different with the custom search from the regular google search. For example, it always has a limit of, iirc, 10 per page. But I don't remember seeing any advertising, so I certainly don't know how bad the advertising got. So I'd like to find a webpage that includes a custom search box, to remind myself. For example, some webpages have a box that says "Search our company only". But I don't remember seeing one of these for years. Can you point me to one? |

I thought I posted this on Saturday! In alt.comp.os.windows-10, on Sat, 8 Jun 2019 19:07:36 +0100, Andy Burns wrote: micky wrote: some webpages have a box that says "Search our company only". Usenet is so great, it's a shame to see its popularity decline. As I recalled, there is no advertising even in the custom google search. Knowing this will help a lot when I write to my previously-liked page. Maybe there is some setting that eliminates whatever they were objecting to. Or maybe it was there for a while and Google itself got rid of it. Thanks |
