Default Monitor screen Resolution

i had to reinstall windows XP. i am wanting to install my
Monitor settings to suit my Dell E771p Monitor. i cannot
change the Default monitor settings. when i click on
Advanced monitor, there is nothing there for me to
change. all there is in the screen refresh rate is "use
hardware default settings"

i have tried going through all the Installation info and
system help. i cannot even find my monitor in my sytem
info.

Can anyone please help?

You probably need to install the graphics driver for the monitor.
Who's the computer manufacturer?

.....continuing....

I guess if its a Dell monitor, its a Dell PC?
If so, go to Dell.com, look for customer services and downloads.
