CD PLayer Not Working
Hi,
I have a PC that is really running me around. The computer can see the CD player and when trying to open or look into the CD, you can see the CD player read light flickering. The problem is that it does not show the CD contents when you say to open the CD or does not do an autorun. I have gone to the system events and it say the error is a bad cable. I have swapped out 2-40 pin cables and still have the same problem. I have had the CD player as both, the master and the slave with the same results. If I put the Harddrive, or the LS120 or the zip into the system with the same cable that I used with the CD player they worked fine. I actually even changed out the CD player with a new one with the same results. Anyone have any other ideas. I can't believe it would be the mother board or the IDE controllers since the other items worked ok. The unit is less then a year old. Thanks for any help. Upper/lower filters.
Search thru this newsgroup and locate where you may find the registry patch. "skip" wrote in message ... Hi, I have a PC that is really running me around.
