Logon Q ??
Some time ago I had a Q about starting up and trying to
bypass the Logon screen (where you must click the logon Id). So I got and used the start/run/control userpasswords2 solution to ensure that users did NOT need to enter a user name and passwor to logon. This caused a whole new problem. Now I have two logon IDs and must select one. While, when this started, I had only a MYNAME user ID to click, now I must choose between MYNAME and Administrator. Either/or: How do I delete the Administrator ID (because the MYNAME ID brings up all the settings I originally set)/How do I make the Administrator ID have the same attributes as the MYNAME ID I started with??? |

I want to avoid having to select MYNAME; I don't need to select it on any of my other machines. |

See if this works: Control Panel - Power Options - Advanced tab - Uncheck "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" - Click OK. Good luck Nepatsfan |

That option has been "not selected" for days. But I did just notice that when I boot up, I go right to the MYNAME desktop without needing to click any user name. But when I become active after hibernation, I need to select the MYNAME user on the "Logon??" screen before getting to the MYNAME desktop. Howcum it's different??? |
