I have been hearing all of this bad stuff about winXP not working and being
slow and win7 working perfect which seems kinda weird to me cause i was
planning on getting this

with this AMD HDT55TFBRBOX Phenom II 1055T Six Core

Wouldn't worry about the side-tracks and I wouldn't over-complicate
things...

If the drivers are available from the hardware manufacturers web site for
each of the parts for Windows XP (you know what they are in detail - since
you gave details) then it is supported in Windows XP. If the manufacturers
do not choose to provide drivers for their hardware for Windows XP (their
perogative) then it is not supported in WIndows XP.

Despite what you might have believed up until now and/or what rumors/stories
you have heard - support for a hardware device in an Operating System is not
usually determined by the manufacturer of the operating system - but by the
manufacturers of the hardware device. They either provide drivers/support
for a given OS or they do not. So look up your components, see if they list
Windows XP as being supported and discover for yourself your answer. ;-)
