Ctrl+Alt+Del
Hello,
I had a similar problem a few days ago and someone suggested going to START/RUN and typing in "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes). It helped me. Maybe it will help you. -----Original Message----- I had to do a recovery on my laptop. However, the ctrl+alt+del prompt does not come up anymore. I went to users account in control panel and there is no advanced tab as mentioned in the Help and Support Center. How can configure my system to get the ctrl+alt+del feature back? . |

I have been looking for a solution to this problem for weeks. I am an MSCE in Windows NT4 and 2000, and was completely stunned when I installed Windows XP, only to find that Microsoft had done away with thier secure logon channel (which they are extremely proud of and make a big deal of in all MOC courses). The only way to ensure the secure logon is to join a NT Domain. That is not a solution for braodband LAN clients, or Workgroups. I searched the KB for a registry hack, but your solution is neater and safer! Thanks again. |
