network settings lost when client is off for extended period
I have a host PC desktop (XP Home SP2) using a wireless cellular aircard
networked to a client MAC G4 via ethernet cable. Everything works fine: Internet connection and file sharing. However, when turn the MAC off for an extended period of time (week or two). When i turn it back on, I have to re-create the network connection using the Windows Network Wizard. I am sure this is likely a trivial problem but can anyone tell me why i lose the network connection and if i can fix it so the connection is active without having to run the wizard after an extended shut-down? thx dave |
