The first thing to try is replacing the Patch. Go here and download and
install it.


Try this:

Go here and install the Patch. Than download some themes. That will change
the start button and a lot more.

issue,as a related problem to this is that when I boot up
a message box comes up and states that "there are files
being used that Windows does not recognize and asks me to
insert my Winsows XP disc. I do so,and before I can hit
the retry button,the message goes away and nothing

have style xp with the theme patcher installed(for over a
year now with no problems). I can choose the style xp
