Use of projector with my laptop
Background:
The first time I connected my laptop to an Infocus projector the process worked fine, except my laptop screen was blank, but projected screen showed everything that was on laptop screen. I then clicked on control panel - Appearance and Theme - Display Properties - Settings - and made monitor 1 match up with monitor 2. Problem: When I do presentations both my laptop and projector boot up fine and show the information from my laptop until desktop appears. Everything shows up fine on laptop, but only the wallpaper is projected with icons etc. If I click on an icon on my laptop to launch an application the application launches fine, but only my desktop wallpaper shows on projected view. I have tried several adjustments in display properties to no avail. Help! Albert D. Miller |

Use of projector with my laptop
Rather than doing dual monitors like this, you should have a function key on
your keyboard that allows you to have the projector be an exact clone of your laptop monitor. It's typically one of the F keys in combination with the function button. -- Chris Jackson Software Engineer Microsoft MVP Windows XP Associate Expert -- "Albert D. Miller" wrote in message ...
