Folder Options - Explore vs. Open

I'm trying to change the default on my folder options
from Explore to Open. When I open a folder, and drill
down to another folder, it opens a new explorer window
even if I've chosen the "Open each folder in the same
window" option. When I right-click on the folder, if I
choose the Open option, as opposed to the default Explore
option, I get what I want. How do I change the default
Explore option to Open?? I've attempted to change every
option in my Folder Options menu, and I have yet to have
any luck. Any ideas?

Hi Rachel,
Type "regsvr32 /i shell32" (without the quotes) at StartRun and press
enter. This will fix your problem and the default will return to 'Open' for
folders.

Hi Anando,

That didn't seem to work. I put in the command just as
you typed it (without the quotes) and I received this
RegSvr32 message "DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in
shell32 succeeded". However, when testing the folders,
it still defaults to "Explore". I even rebooted to see
if that would fix it but was unsuccessful. Am I missing
something?
