Can't "Save Picture As..." IE 6.0
For some reason, my XP doesn't allow me to "Save Picture As..." when I
right-click in IE as anything but a BMP. I don't understand why I can't save a .GIF as a .GIF, or a .JPG file as a .JPG! What is the problem here? XP doesn't even give me the "Save/Print/etc" flyover icons on the graphics like IE 6.0 gives my Win2k computers. How do you work around this??? Wm

Can't "Save Picture As..." IE 6.0
Hi,
Clear your Temporary Internet Files, then try again. Go to IE/Internet Options/Delete Files. Also in Settings change the amount to 40 MB. This will help in preventing the index files from becoming overloaded. I cleared the Temp files (set to 140MB) with no success. I checked the

I just noticed that on some sites (www.microsoft.com) I DO have the option

It's now looking like the problem is related to the site I'm trying to save
from (http://info.ct-dscp.com/). I can save properly on other sites, but not this one. I did check all the steps in the referenced KB article below, and nothing appears to be amiss... I wonder what about a website/webpage would prevent you saving an image (when the right-click button is not disabled with javascript)? Wm "Wm" wrote in message ... You need to clear out your Temporary Internet Files, close IE and Restart
