Default ATI Radeon no DVI in Windows XP Pro

After installing the latest (also with previous drivers)
Radeon driver (Club 3d Radeon 9100) I can't get DVI output
working. I installed XP using DVI. Now the ATI drivers are
installed I get the boot screen and the XP logo but after
that the screen goes blank and after 10 seconds the
machine reboots.
When using the CRT output of the card everything works
fine.
But for the better quality I would prefer to use the DVI
output of the card and the DVI input of my Neovo S-17 LCD
(both DVI-D).

What is going wrong here?
