DV cameras

I am having a similar problem although last year my
camera worked fine, but now after numerous 'updates' it
isn't being recognised by XP at all, I have tried a
different camera, a new cable, even bought a new
firewire PCI card but still no luck, WHAT HAS HAPPENED????

digitize nothing happens. WIN xp cannot find the
drivers? why not win 2000 had them, what the hell is the
