Default Windows Movie Maker plays the sound but not the video

I use an ATI All-in-wonder 8500DV to capture some videos.

If I save those videos as MPEG2 (SVCD or DVD quality) I
can't edit them in Window Movie Maker. Only the sounds are
played, but videos are not.

I've already downloaded the codecs package from Microsoft
Windows Media Web Site, but it did not work.

All those videos can be played in Media Player. No
problems with sound or video.

If I capture the videos in MPEG standart (VCD quality) I
can edit them in Movie Maker.

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks a lot !

PS: If I try to edit those MPEG2 videos un Ulead Video
Studio (that came with the video board) the software just
hangs. With MPEG1 videos, it edits perfectly.
