Changing Computer User Name
Could someone please explain how to change user name...It
is the name that you first enter when you startup for the first time. I believe it resides in the registry...I am unaware of how to change this without screwing anything up. Please advise. Peter |

Changing Computer User Name
Peter,
Sorry but your question isn't very clear as to what you are trying to do. - Are you trying to change the computer's name on a network? If so, right-mouse-click on My Computer and choose Properties, Computer Name tab. - If you are trying to change the log-in user name, go to Control Panel, User Accounts and add/change them here. - If it is the Registered User info, then follow Jupiter's recommendation. -- Regards, Len Segal, MCP Microsoft - MVP -------------- My reply address is intentionally wrong to reduce SPAM Email. NOTE: We do not respond to unsolicited Email support questions, please post questions in newsgroup. "Peter" wrote in message ...
