Default not saving my settings of toolbars and folders

When I make a change to for example how the files are
viewed within that folder and I close it and re-open it
again, the files appear as they were before I changed it.

I made sure that the tickbox under folder settings next
to, "remember each folder's view settings" was ticked but
it still doesnt do what its supposed to.

Also when I create a custom toolbar on the taskbar and
then reboot the pc, its not there when it boots back up.

Hi Jon,
In any explorer window, click on toolsfolder options. Flip to the view tab
and click on "reset all folders". This will reset all folder view settings
to the default settings. After this try customizing the folder view
settings.

You may also want to apply this edit:

Increase folder view size limit to 8000 (line 2)
