Program shortcuts not working properly
When Windows XP starts an application it seems to remember
the last place that a file was opened by that particular application. E.g. if I use an application to open a file from C:\Temp, then the next time I use the application and go to open a file the folder that it looks in is C:\Temp. However, I want to override this 'memory' and force some of my applications to look to open files from a specific directory each time I load it (i.e. I don't want it to look in the last folder that I opened a file from). In previous versions of windows this was achieved by using the "Start in" property of the application's shortcut. But in windows XP this property seems to be ignored. Does any one know how to get Windows XP to recognise this property properly? Thanks, Adrian |

It usually depends on the actual application, not Windows XP itself.
