Default Can I burn a CD for Unix using the built in XP writing utility?

Hi,

I recently made a CD for a friend using the built-in Windows XP CD writing
utility. The resulting CD could be read by windows machines, but not by Unix
systems.

I know that some CD writing software provides an option to burn a CD in the
most "generic" format allowing compatibility across most platforms. Does
anyone know how to do this with the WinXP utility?

Much obliged for your suggestions,

Kerry
